Stripping out all of colors and flattening Henri Matisse was so entertaining we felt we should try it with another French legend named Henri. This time, his primitive, jungle-loving, countryman Henri Rousseau.

We loved his Dream. And his dream tiger. We loved how Mr Tiger was just peeking his nose out thru the undergrowth, spying on Henri’s naked mistress lounging on her red velvet chaise. My preliminary carved sketch of HR struck me as so cat-like I decided to swap them
out and let this Henri do the peeking himself. Hundreds of paper cuts later, here we are.
